First-time Buyer Survey
New Homes Marketing Board survey flags up concerns for future first-time buyers
A new survey, carried out by YouGov for the New Homes Marketing Board (NHMB) highlights the plight of first-time buyers in the UK. It shows a deep concern in particular over the risk of long-term renting becoming the norm for the next generation of first-time buyers. Other questions in the survey indicated that the difficulties being faced by first time buyers had grown into a significant social problem that was threatening the well-being of local communities nationwide.
The survey, which had a sample size of 1998 people across age ranges and UK locations was published in early October 2007. Details of the Survey are available on the NHMB website.
